The hospital was fundamentally modernised in the course of a holistic restructuring. The main objective of this modernisation was to create a sustainable structure that allows for the optimal integration of the hospital's current and future functions.
Clear signage, a pleasant quality of stay and workplace, optimal business processes, as well as a flexible building structure for adaptation to future medical requirements are the focal points of the new concept for the clinic.
Due to the heterogeneous existing building structure and under the premise of maintaining ongoing hospital operations, the construction project required several construction phases.
The design concept of the new building with its comb-shaped structure provides for atriums that visually connect the individual functional areas of the different levels. The comb structure of the building arranges the functional areas into sensible sections and can also be optionally extended, as makes sense for a sustainable structure.
